"RV" Can Mean A Lot Of Things: Which One Is Right For You?
The term "recreational vehicle" or RV usually calls to mind a motorhome, perhaps a Winnebago brand specifically. It's a large vehicle in which the living space and the driver's seat are all part of the same structure, rather than having the "car" part towing the "living" part.
But recreational vehicles come in many other shapes and sizes, too, and are still properly called RVs. Which one you buy depends on your needs.
The motorhome (commonly called a Winnebago even when it's actually a different brand) is convenient because it offers reasonable living quarters, including a place to sleep, prepare food and use the bathroom. The driver is not disconnected from his passengers; they're in the "back seat," as the living quarters are right behind him. Many people, especially retirees, live in motorhomes full-time, touring the country and enjoying their mobile lifestyle. RV parks have sprouted up all over the country, offering traveling recreational vehicle enthusiasts a place to stop and rest, hook up to electrical posts, and even use the Internet.
Other recreational vehicles are better suited to temporary arrangements, not full-time living. The most basic kind of RV is a simple truck camper, where a shell is attached to the bed of a pickup truck. This is usually for day or weekend trips, with supplies in the covered bed of the truck. The shell can serve the same purpose as a tent would (protection and warmth), making it useful for outdoor camping, too.
Also common is the "fifth wheel," a trailer that attaches to a pickup or medium-duty truck and is hauled that way. A fifth wheel is similar to a motorhome, except that the living quarters are separate from the vehicle. This means the driver cannot communicate directly with people in the trailer unless it's by walkie-talkie or cell phone. Fifth wheels are generally not as comfortable as motorhomes, either, as hence are most useful for relatively short road trips and sightseeing.

Automobile - An Inseparable Part Of Our Life
by Anthony Mendonza
Around the world, there were about 806 million cars and light trucks on the road in and the engines of these burns over a billion cubic meters of petrol/gasoline and diesel fuel yearly. Today car is not considered luxury by most it has become a necessity.
Finance companies and Loans and availability of used cars have made it more convenient to own. Can you imagine the world without any single automobile? It's impossible to even imagine world without automobiles.
The first working steam-powered vehicle was designed by Ferdinand Verbiest, in China around 1672. It was a 65 cm-long scale-model toy for the Chinese Emperor.
Then somewhere in 1752, Leonty Shamshurenkov, a Russian peasant, constructed a human-pedaled four-wheeled "auto-running" carriage, and subsequently proposed to equip it with odometer and to use the same principle for making a self-propelling sledge.
But the large-scale, production manufacturing of affordable automobiles was debuted by Ransom Olds at his Oldsmobile factory in 1902 based on the assembly line techniques pioneered by Marc Isambard Brunel.
Today's well known automobile manufactures around the World are Toyota, GM, Volkswagen, Ford, Nissan, Honda, PSA, Suzuki, Renault, Fiat, Daimler AG, Chrysler, BMW. Total of 77,743,862 automobiles were manufactured together by all for year 2010 as per records. These 4wheels not only drives our lives but the economies or the whole world in other words.
This is a great achievement as per economic growth, technology, development and living standards. But it is causing some serious bad effects to the nature globally, which we all are aware and concerned. Our Automobile manufacturers have already begun to manufacture vehicles with alternative powers or fuel which claim to be very low in harmful gas emissions. Rapid development is on to produce more eco- friendly and fuel efficient cars all over the world. New and better versions are added frequently.
Japan's contribution to automobile industry of the world started in 1960s with launch of new small cars in Japan. These small cars featured very small engines (from 360cc to 600cc) which kept taxes very low as compared to large cars. More and people in Japan could afford a car and brought about a boom in car demands in Japan market. Rapidly rising domestic demand and the expansion of Japanese car companies into foreign markets in the 1970s further accelerated growth.
During 1970s, and 1980s, the Japanese manufacturers like Mitsubishi and Honda gained a major foothold in the US and other world markets. Export of Car was real high during this period. Japanese manufacturers produced very affordable, reliable, and popular cars throughout the 1990s, and Japan became the largest car producing nation in the world in 2000.
Some of the Hybrid cars on roads are Toyota Prius, Camry Hybrid, Highlander Hybrid, Volta, Sienna Hybrid, Hybrid X, A-BAT Concept Hybrid Pickup Truck, Nissan Altima Hybrid, Mazda Tribute Hybrid, Honda Civic Hybrid, Insight, Fit Hybrid, CR-Z Hybrid, Accord Hybrid, Mercedes ML 450 Hybrid, Mercedes S400 Blue Hybrid, BMW X6 Hybrid, BMW Active Hybrid 7.
Some of the electric vehicles on roads are: Nissan LEAF, Toyota RAV4-EV , Nissan ALTRA EV , Honda EV PLUS and more are on their way to be launched.
Go for the ECO-FRIENDLY automobiles and help save the Earth for our children.

Ford Ranger - The Low Down
by Barry Summers
There are trucks and then there are trucks. Some trucks are designed to have a large towing and bed capacity. These trucks will have very large engines and will in general be very large. They are designed not for gas mileage but for towing power. They are big, large and suck up a-lot of fuel. They're also very expensive. The more common style of truck is the smaller sized vehicle. These trucks still have quite a bit of power, have body on frame technology and are larger than normal sized cars. They still get good petrol consumption and are a good option for people who are looking for a truck.
The Ford Ranger is such a truck. Ford has quite a number of different styles of trucks. Some are larger and others are smaller. The Ford Ranger is the smallest truck (truck being defined as a vehicle with a bed) that they offer. It comes in a few different options as far as engine size. If you're looking for the best fuel economy you should get the 4 cylinder engine. It gives off just under 150 horsepower at 5,250 RPM. The main advantage to the 4 cylinder is the fuel consumption. You're going to get approximately 22 miles to the gallon in the city and 27 on open roads. Those are very impressive numbers for a truck.
If you're looking for more power go for the 4.0L V6. This engine is almost twice as big as its 4 cylinder cousin. It puts out approximately 50 more horsepower than the 4 cylinder which puts you at around 207 horses. You still get some pretty impressive consumption numbers as well; 16 in the city and 21 on rural mileage. It's no economy car but for a truck it's still excellent gas mileage.
If you opt for the V6 when shopping for Ford Rangers for sale you can tow up to 5800 pounds. Since it is a small and light truck you will need to be careful with such large loads. However, the possibility is always there. Another great thing about Ford Ranger vans for sale is a technology that lets you shift into 4WD on the go. Normally cars have to stop, be put into neutral and then shift into 4x4. With the Ranger you get 4x4 on the go. With the simple press of a button your car is now spinning both axles. This is a great way to get yourself out of sticky situations.
All in all the Ranger is a great choice for someone looking for large towing capacity out of a small package. You'll end up saving thousands of dollars on both the price tag and the diesel you're saving!
