Finding The Most Environmental Friendly Cars

by Yoshiharu Warashina

Transportation vehicles produce most of the key chemicals that pollute the air, causing smog and health problems. Air quality is poorest in developing industrial nations. Global warming is also related to automotive exhaust emissions. Greenhouse gases trap heat and contribute to global warming.

So today's most important concern is to find a most fuel efficient and environmental friendly car for better life today and tomorrow. Auto makers around the world are busy producing new and improved models of car using alternative fuel to reduce greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Eco friendly cars like flex fuel models, hybrid electric and electric cars, hydrogen vehicles and solar should take the roads commercially to save the Earth.
Hybrid and Electric cars are already on roads. These cars are a blessing for reduction of environmental pollution, less fuel consumption and making the world a better place to live in.

Today's  most popular hybrid cars like  Honda Civic, Honda Insight and Toyota Prius have surpassed the expected reduction levels that means recommended levels suggested for a typical passenger vehicle should be equal to 5.5 metric tons of carbon dioxide as per EPA, but these hybrid vehicles producing 4.1, 3.5, and 3.5 tons shown a major improvement in carbon dioxide emissions. Hybrid vehicles can reduce air emissions of smog-forming pollutants by up to 90% and cut carbon dioxide emissions to half.

Electric cars are gaining popularity in recent years due to ever increasing oil prices and environment pollution going higher too.  Electric vehicles are the only and most desired transportation to keep both in control for present and future. Honda EV PLUS, Nissan ALTRA EV,  Nissan LEAF, Toyota RAV4-EV, BMW 5-Series , Audi A8 and many more to come. Nissan LEAF was named 2011 World Car of the Year at the New York International Auto Show, beating BMW 5-Series and the Audi A8 for the top spot as the 100% zero-emission car. This 5-seater, 5-door hatchback is the world's first, purpose-built, mass-produced electric car. It has a range of over 100 miles on a full charge claims Nissan, takes around 8 hours to recharge using 220-240V power supply and produces zero tailpipe emissions.

Rapid development is on to produce more eco- friendly and fuel efficient cars all over the world. New and better versions are added frequently. These cars are expensive as compare to the petrol or diesel cars and unaffordable for majority of populations. Most people understand the need to switch to new alternates but this high cost and lack of infrastructure is a drawback. Little that we can do is use less "accelerator" while driving. Using smaller compact cars when possible, Use your car air conditioners sparingly, Keeping the windows shut while on highway drive, Keeping the gas tank little empty, proper maintenance and overhauling of your car can do a lot.

Find a used hybrid or other eco friendly car to replace your present one. Today many used hybrids are available at much lower price in Japan.
Many used car exporters in Japan can provide most fuel efficient and eco friendly cars from Japan at reasonable prices.
